The mission of the Kilmer Middle School library is to work in cooperation with the school community in order to promote the curriculum and educational goals of the school. The librarians are teachers of information literacy skills and will assist students, faculty, and staff find and evaluate information in a variety of formats. The librarians aim to affect and enhance lifelong learning and foster a love of reading.
Our policies, procedures, and hours of operation as well as many fabulous information resources are available through the Kilmer Library's 24/7 Blackboard page. We invite students and families to take a look and send questions our way.
The Kilmer Middle School Library has recently begun a Kindle pilot project; we have three Kindles available for checkout and hope to develop our eReader program further. More information is available via Blackboard. The library has also recently developed a Facebook page to incorporate social media into instruction and model appropriate use for our students. |
