Ronald James

Assistant Principal Ronald
James has been an educator for the past 15 years in the Prince George’s
County and Fairfax County Public School systems. During the past six years
he has served as the Director of Student Services at Carl Sandburg Middle
School. He obtained an undergraduate degree in mathematics from Lincoln
University in Oxford, PA and his master's degree in School Administration
from George Mason University.
Mr. James's range of experience includes: school based
math resource teacher for special populations, Administrative Intern at
the middle school level and as a result he has ascertained knowledge and
skills as a middle school administrator, notably becoming a highly qualified
and certified math teacher at both the middle and high school levels.
Additionally, he has successfully completed the LEAD Fairfax Aspiring
Principals Cohort I in 2006, served as the summer school Special Education
Assistant Principal and has facilitated community and parent awareness
meetings to include student achievement and student orientations.
Mr. James embraces life-long learning
and believes that education provides opportunities for all. He is enthusiastic
about working with the Kilmer Middle School
staff and community.
