Deborah A. Hernandez
Principal
Mrs.
Hernandez was born and raised outside of New York City . She lived overseas
in Spain for three years and then moved to Northern Virginia in 1996.
She attended Colgate University and holds a Master's degree in special
education from SUNY New Paltz. Mrs. Hernandez is a student-centered educator
who believes in "making a difference" for every child. She has taught
at both the middle and high school levels as well as spent her first year
in administration at Rocky Run Middle School . She came to Kilmer after
spending the four years as an assistant principal at Madison High School
right here in Vienna. Mrs. Hernandez loves the Vienna community and is
excited to be back at the middle school level and part of the Kilmer family.
