Kilmer Middle School is a technology-rich school with SmartBoards in every classroom, 5 stand-alone computer labs, and 18 mobile laptap carts. We have Turning Point and Senteo Response Systems, Flip Video Cameras, digital still cameras, Airliner Wireless Slates, along with other tools for our teaching staff to make use of during instruction. Our school is committed to using FCPS 24/7 Learning (formerly Blackboard) to make syllibi, homework, and other instructional materials available to our students electronically.
Our school has a Vanguard Team of faculty who support technology use in instruction, led by Brian Herberger, our School-Based Technology Specialist. We regularly provide professional development opportunities to our staff in an effort to keep teachers up-to-date and comfortable with incorporating technology into their instructional practices.
Learn more about how we incorporate various tools into classroom instruction through the videos and information linked below.
