Progressive Reform Topics
Around the beginning of the 1900s, groups of social reformers including social workers, educators, ministers, socially conscious politicians, and journalists began to publicly call for social change. Journalists who called attentions to the social problems of the time were called muckrakers. Create a panel discussion to represent one of the issues listed below. You should have a visual to accompany your discussion.

1. Notes on 3 x 5 cards
2. Vocabulary List - cross-reference Learning Requirements essential terms
3. Visuals -
Graphs, charts, political cartoons, primary source pictures, etc.
3-4 visuals required for each project.
4. Critical
Thinking Questions - Develop 2 - 3 questions of essential knowledge
that you believe that each person should be able to answer at the
conclusion of your presentation - refer to SOL questions at
beginning of notebook for guidance.
