About Us

Hello from Classroom 344B!

This year the class consists of five young men ranging in age from 16 to 21 years old. We are heavily focused on vocational tasks and community work site training. We travel to five different work sites during the week and perform a variety of in school jobs as well. Our class is actually located in the back portion of the school workshop this year.  As we continue to expand our community integration we are excited to try some new things. These could possibly include some Metro travel, community lunches, and obtaining DMV ID cards.

When not working, the class enjoys our weekly pool time, Quest, Express & Explore, and APE. We use our classroom time to focus on building independence, communication, and academic skills. The students are excited to interact with lessons involving the interactive whiteboard on a daily basis. We are also excited to continue the PBS (Positive Behavior Support) program this year, especially if they continue to earn their pizza parties and buying items from the school store.
