About Us

   We are excited about a new year getting started again. Happy to welcome two new students and five returning to the all male secondary aged class. Things were quick to get up and running with the start of work sites beginning on Sept 21st. The class will continue to go to Comfort Inn, Pohick Library, Materials Warehouse, and the Journey Church. The students seemed very excited about using the Smart board during our group activities. They enjoy the ability to have interactive technology to facilitate communication, as well as having fun. We have even started playing games such as concentration and tic-tac-toe to learn valuable social skills.
Our class continues to work closely with the vocational program, helping to complete newsletters for local businesses and home owners associations. We are also in charge of delivering laundry detergent, collecting lunch money, collecting glove orders, and helping with the Key Café. When we are not working hard, our students enjoy the swimming pool and traveling in the community. It should be a busy yet enjoyable school year.
