PARENT COFFEE

Please join your Key Center Support Staff for coffee and morning treats while learning all about the wonderful team of professionals who support the classroom staff. (Presentations from the Social Worker, Psychologist, Behavior Resource   Teachers, Community Teacher,  Vocational Teacher, Speech, OT, PT, Hearing, Vision, ESOL, Audiologist, and get an overview of the Master Schedule)

PLANNING FOR YOUR CHILD’S FUTURE

Come and join us for this extremely   important and informative session.     Parents will gain information about    establishing trusts and guardianships.  Learn when and how to enroll your child in SSI and Medicaid.  Hear from        vocational vendors.  Gain insight into where to go for resource materials from The ARC and The Parent Resource    Center.  You won’t want to miss this meeting if your child will be turning 18 years old soon.

SECURING SUPPORTS IN YOUR HOME

This evening will offer you a wealth of information on how to get that bit of  extra help you need to continue to      support your child with disabilities in your home.  Medicaid Waivers, Respite     Services, and Behavior Management will be discussed.  Hear from agencies that support and offer these services such as Community Services Board, Department of Family Services, Hartwood         Foundation and NVTC.

RECREATIONAL
OPPORTUNITIES AND
SUMMER OPTIONS

Take this opportunity to begin  planning for the summer months or even to get some ideas for fun activities your child may enjoy in the future (while you get to enjoy a bit of a break).  You’ll hear about Summer School,    Therapeutic Recreation, School Aged Child Care (SACC), Summer Camps, Eddie’s Club and Challenger Baseball, Therapeutic  Horseback Riding, Adapted Aquatics, and Special Olympics.

All the meetings regarding these events will take place in the beautiful, newly renovated Key Center Cafeteria.  Come and meet other parents, enjoy wonderful  refreshments, and learn about services for you and your family.

CHILD CARE WILL BE PROVIDED FOR EVENING EVENTS!!!
