About Us
Welcome to Room 314!
This year our class of seven students are studying Word Families. We are using Interactive Whiteboard Software “Sound Sorting” with “Rhyming Sounds”, “Beginning Sounds”, and “Ending Sounds”. We are also using “Word Family Books 1 and 2.” Each word family unit includes a picture dictionary, an illustrated story, and comprehension and vocabulary activities. We will send home completed Word Family Folders at the end of each month.
We have many years of experience working with special education students with special needs in Fairfax County Public Schools.
Mary has worked 34 years, Tammy has worked 8 years, and Eric has worked 18 years.
We set high expectations, create opportunities, and expect success while working on our IEP goals of positioning, Reading, Life Skills, and Adaptive PE.
