Kingstowne Library

Kingstowne Library’s community partnership with Key Center School began in September 2001.  After inquiring about the different programs at Fairfax County Public Libraries, we found a very dedicated librarian at the Kingstowne Library.  She had worked with special needs student in the past and thought it would be nice for us to visit the library regularly.  On the third Wednesday of every month a classroom from Key Center School visits the Kingstowne Library where the librarian presents a program consisting of books, music, a video, and a craft.    This partnership provides the students at Key Center with the opportunity to interact with another instructor and to learn through books.
