Jungle's Gym

Key Center School’s community partnership with Jungle’s Gym in Kingstowne began in September 2001.  PE teacher, Elizabether Jeruzal accompanies four to six students (ranging in age from 16 to 22) to the gym.  A ten-minute bus ride—and they are able to spend thirty minutes learning the value of exercise as well as practice their social skills in integrating with the general public.  The main goals are: introducing fitness equipment to our students; learning about exercise routines; developing and /or improving social skills; and most of all exploring a new environment.
