Haitian Relief and Fundraising
Hot Chocolate for Haiti
Friday, January 22, Key Center will be selling Hot Chocolate and other warm beverages, along with doughnuts and other snacks. All procedes will go to AmeriCares, which is providing medical aid for Haiti earthquake survivors.
Have a Heart, Lend a hand
For the next week and a half, Key Center students will be selling heart-shaped mugs with Hot Chocolate and Marshmallows. The mugs will cost $5 and all procedes will go to AmeriCares.
Health Kits for Haiti
Key Center students have assembled health kits consisting of:
- 1 hand towel
- 1 washcloth
- 1 comb
- 1 nail file
- 1 bath-size bar of soap
- 1 toothbrush
- 6 adhesive plastic strip sterile bandages
These kits are being collected by the United Methodist Committee on Relief (UMCOR) for distribution to Haitian earthquake victims. UMCOR is a not for profit global humanitarian aid organization. They are collecting the kits from local churches and will then send them on to Haiti.
