About Us

Welcome to Room 327!

This year our classroom consists of three students, ages 14 to 20. Our class routine is based on increasing their independence by focusing on appropriate behaviors, life skills, work skills in our vocational program, and community skills. This year we are able to get out of our classroom throughout the day to practice our skills in a variety of settings. Within the school building the students are participating in Express and Explore, APE, Quest, Vocational, and we are eating in the lunch cafeteria as often as we can. We are also able to practice our skills outside the building at a variety of worksites and community based instruction trips on a weekly basis. This year we are again using the Weekly Reader magazines to learn about a variety of topics each month and have include a Science Spin magazine as well to get more involved in science investigations. This year is off to a great start and I am looking forward to a wonderful year!
