About Us

Welcome to Room 341!

Elizabeth Shukis (teacher), Sarah Waller (assistant), and Hea Byun (attendant) are the staff.  Our classroom consists of students in grades 4th to 6th.  We have had a fantastic start to the year.  We have themes that last about a month.  We incorporate these themes into reading, math, science, and sensory/art activities.  In addition, our classroom uses Attainment’s Early Literacy Skills Builder (ELSB), which is a scientifically based literacy program.  For those that require it, we change a student’s position multiple times a day in order for them to be fully engaged in activities.  IEP goals are woven into everyday group activities as well as worked on individually.  We are excited this year continue participating in adapted PE, QUEST, Express and Explore (previously known as music/sensory), the pool, and adapted daily living. We are also happy this year that we get to continue going on weekly CBI trips.  We invite you to stop by the classroom.  We’re always excited to have visitors!
