It's an ice cream social to raise money to stop hunger. Ceramic bowls will be available for purchase as well as other student created artwork at this charity event open to the whole community.

TRACK NEWS FOR KGES RUNNERS

Here are some great KG results from this past Saturday's Fairfax County Hershey Track Meet.

KG had 5 winners, all of whom will advance to the Northern District Meet on June 2 in Alexandria (TC Williams HS). The winners and their events are as follows:

Cayla, 1st place,  800 m
Mason,1st place,  800 m
Jett, 2nd place, 800 m (2' 51")
Jett, 1st place, 400m (time: 1:06)
Andrew, 1st place, 200 m
Andrew, 3rd place, 100 m
Alex, 2nd place, softball throw

He recently participated in the International Mathematical Olympiad Math Kangaroo in Rockville, MD.

In his age category he is:

# 14 in the State of Maryland (out of 1,200 participants)

# 37 Nationwide.

The 3rd annual French Talent Show will take place on Wednesday, June 13 at 9am in the gym.  Students are invited to perform individually or as a group.  Performances must be in French!  Please see the attached permission slip for further information, or contact Andrea Jones at aljones6@fcps.edu.
