Computer Solutions provides students with the skills necessary to use the computer as a problem-solving tool to complete a variety of projects. Students participate in team building activities that include both academic and business competencies. Basic touch keyboarding instruction is provided in the course as well as an introduction to software applications. Students will then use these computer skills to complete cross-curricular activities.
Advanced Computer Solutions reinforces the concepts taught in Computer Solutions and advances the database, spreadsheet, presentation, publishing, and Internet skills of students. The Advanced Computer Solutions course extends student expertise in a project-based curriculum. Students need the prerequisite of successful completion of Technology Tools (or Computer Solutions as of Spring 2009) and/or teacher approval. The Advanced Computer Solutions course is intended to serve as a bridge to the high school business department curriculum.
