Washington Irving Middle School Library/Media Center "Virginia Readers Choice Program" (Formerly: Virginia Young Readers) 2007-2008

Students must read at least four out of the ten Virginia Readers Choice titles from the Middle School list to be eligible to vote for their favorite Virginia Readers Choice book. Information about the Virginia Readers Choice Program at Irving MS is listed in each student's FCPS 24/7 (Blackboard )account under the Irving Library/Media Center link. Participants earn an award certificate or points towards the Irving pin award depending on their level of participation in the program during the school year. "Book-and Bag Lunches will be sponsored once a month during the four lunch times for interested students to bring their lunch to the library and discuss VRC books they have read. Check the Irving website calendar or the Library Blackboard site for the dates of these meetings. Contact the library staff if you have questions.
