Irving Student Wins Essay Contest
Irving is proud of 8th grader Julia Perschbacher for her first place prize in the West Springfield District Rotary Club's annual essay contest. She wrote an essay on the application of the Club's "Four Way Test" in daily life, showcasing the development of strong character in being truthful, fair, and just. Julia attended a breakfast at the club's breakfast meeting where she presented her essay and received her $100 prize. She will travel to the Regional competition at the end of the month where she can win up to $1,000 for her hard work. Congratulations, Julia!!"
