Impact of Social Media
Thank you to our counselors Sharon Powers and Ashlee Nelsen for preparing this presentation on the impact social media has on mental health. Parents should be aware of how the teenage mind is affected, particularly the affect on self image. The presentation and accompanying videos are posted here.
Hour of Code
Once again this year, Irving will be participating in the world wide Hour of Code. Last year’s hour of code was a great success and we hope to make it even better with multiple activities. This is an opportunity for students to try their hand at computer programming and learn some of the logic skills associated with this ever growing field. We are asking for parents or high school age students that need service hours to help us out with some of the activities. Hour of Code at Irving will be December 14 from 2:15-4:30. Please contact Ms. Monk if you are interested in helping.
