Fourth Grade Staff
Betsy Green, Raymond Pulliam, and Meagan Lilly
The 4th grade team is excited to work with your children this year. We will be learning all about the state of Virginia where we live, work and play. Fourth graders will have the opportunity to participate in field trips to: Jamestown, The Richmond Historical Society, Gunston Hall, and The Kennedy Center to hear the National Symphony play. Science lessons are always fascinating as the students discover Magnetism, Electricity, Weather, Solar System, and Just Do It our newest hands-on kit. Of course 4th grade wouldn’t be complete without strengthening our Reading and Writing skills on a daily basis. In Math the students will be actively engaged using concrete material and appropriate technologies such as calculators and computers. Students will develop problem solving skills which will be integrated throughout the curriculum as well as concepts involving computation, estimation, measurement, geometry, patterns, functions and algebra. The 4th grade team knows this will be a great year!
