Step 1: Define your task: Look at the assignment/essential question.

Suggestions for selecting a topic: 

Browse current issues of magazines and newspapers. 

Scan online websites for magazines and newspapers.  Try some of these websites:

“Today’s News” from SIRS Knowledge Source.  Click on the “Database Features” tab and then the “Today’s News” button.  This is a list of the most important news items  listed by Reuters (an international news service.)

Step 2: What materials might be useful for the project? Books, Online Databases (magazine and newspaper indexes), newspaper and magazine websites.

Step 3: Find the material.

Step 4: Use the material. Read it and take notes.  CITE YOUR SOURCES!!!  Citation worksheets are available in the library or in your Blackboard Library Learning  Center course under Citations.

Step 5: Synthesize the information: Prepare and present the poster. PREPARE YOUR BIBLIOGRAPHY.

Step 6: Evaluate: Does the poster you created explain an area of interaction. Have you met the requirements for the assignment?
