Step 1: Define your task: Look at the assignment/essential question.

Step 2: What materials might be useful for the project? Books, Encyclopedias, Online Encyclopedias, Websites.

Step 3: Find the material.

Suggestions:

For information about Spain:

• Books about Spain - Use the Online Catalog to find books about Spain.
• Encyclopedias: World Book Encyclopedia: R 030 Wor.
• Online Encyclopedias: Grolier includes Lands and People, Grolier Multimedia Encyclopedia, and Encyclopedia Americana.
• Websites: Tour Spain: Destinations : Use the "Find on map" feature to select a region.

For Spanish recipes:

• Cookbooks: Use the Online Catalog to find cookbooks. Remember that general cookbooks can have sections on cooking.
• Online Encyclopedias: Grolier's Land's and People includes recipes.
• Websites:

Tour Spain: Regional Cuisine: Click on a region on the map for foods of that region.

Step 4: Use the material. Read it and take notes.

Step 5: Synthesize the information: Prepare and present the skit, poster, power point, song, poem, or other approved product.

Step 6: Evaluate: Does the paper you wrote answer the essential question. Have you met the requirements for the assignment?
