Upcoming Events

  • The Langston Hughes MS  "Monday in Review" Newsletter by Mrs. Jackson has begun.  This newsletter is a weekly review of the activities here at Hughes.  Read and enjoy!

  • The LHMS/SLHS 8th grade band night is on Friday, October 14th.  Report time to SLHS is 4:30PM

  • CAREER DAY is coming!  It will be on October 28th.  It is a great time for all.

  • The color version of the "Hughes News" is up!  View it online!

  •  Applications for Thomas Jefferson High School for Science and Technology are now available in the Guidance Office. Please pick one up from Ms. Thrall. These applications are to be turned back in to Ms. Thrall NO LATER THAN noon, Friday, October 28, 2005. There is also an Open House at TJ on Saturday, October 15, 2005  from 8:30 to NOON. Also, the Guidance Director of Thomas Jefferson will be at Hughes on Wednesday, October 19, 2005 at 7:00 PM in the Media Center.

  • Late Buses began on Monday, October 3, 2005.  Late buses are available on Monday, Wednesday, and Thursdays.

  • Pizza Wednesday began on Wednesday, October 5, 2005 after school.  This PTA sponsered activity will be every Wednesday after school. Come and buy a sliced of pizza and a soda for the trip home!

  • The PTA meeting will be on Thursday, October 6, 2005, at 7:00 pm in the cafeteria.  Come and support the LHMS PTA!
