MONDAYS
Homework Haskins, various teachers Room 137
Students will have the opportunity to complete their homework. Assistance is available though students who require reinstruction of the material should seek the help of their classroom teacher.
Soccer Chris, Andy Gym
Students will learn the basics of playing soccer and participate in intramural tournaments.
Beginner Cooking Love, Curley Room 138A
Along with learning how to cook delicious meals, students will be taught kitchen safety, nutrition, cost cutting techniques, self-confidence and team work.
ESOL Science G.Allen Room 131
Students will be provided with the opportunity to receive specialized help with science and other subjects.
Knitting G.Allen Room 131
Come and learn the wonderful art of knitting. Students will be taught the basics of knitting and encouraged to hone their skills.
Tennis Benedict Room 134
As time and weather permits, students will play tennis and have fun with friends. This activity is intended to provide recreation and exercise as apposed to a competitive instructional program.
Multicultural Club (starting Oct 5th) Rosenmond Room 112
The Multicultural Club meets the first Monday of each month. The club invites all students to come and share their native cultures with others. We will talk about different cultures, do crafts and experience food
Cheerleading Curry, Oswalt Gym
Students are taught cheerleading fundamentals such as cheers, jumps, motions, stunts and tumbling. Students will put together a competition routine to compete, work with the South Lakes Cheer program as support and become school ambassadors and leaders
Self Defense Will Cafeteria
This activity will focus on building self-confidence while incorporating academics. Students will focus on respect for themselves, as well as others. This club will help develop motor and social skills.
Junior American Medical Club Jarrell Room 132
This club is for students who are interested in a future in the medical field.

In this program artists will be creating a variety of both 2-Demensional and 3-Demensional artworks. Student-Artists will be challenging themselves creatively while having fun working with both traditional and non-traditional materials. With a focus on self-expression and creative problem solving, artists will work individually and together to produce interesting and unique works of art!
STEP Team Ms. O Hall of National
Student will learn new “STEPS” for competitions and to perform during school assemblies such as the multicultural fair, the Hughes vs. Herndon basketball game and the parade of stars
Amy’s Amigos relay for life Parent TBA
Students participate in fundraising activities to support the American Cancer Society and participate in the “Relay for Life”. In memory of their classmate and friend Amy

Bond is an all boys group designed with the idea to give young men the opportunity to express themselves in relation to various issues/topics in today’s society.

This cooking class is designed for students who were in the cook club last year and those who feel comfortable in the kitchen.

Students will be taught the fundamental of basketball and preparing for the BIG Hughes vs. Herndon PTA basketball game.

Latino Boys Club is an all boys group which focuses on building character and self esteem in young men. Themes discussed relate to issues that young men face on a regular basis including: personal health, relationships, character, self improvement, grades, etc. Members also receive community service opportunities as a chance to reach out to the community.
Theater Sport Dewenter Room 147A
A club for students who are interested in playing theater games such as “who’s line is it anyway” It is a form of improvisational theatre, which uses the format of a competition for dramatic effect.
