Special Education

Holmes Middle School provides services to a wide range of special needs students, which may include learning disabiltities, mental retardation, physical disabilities, emotional disabilities, and speech/language impairments.
Special Education services are delivered to students through total inclusion general education classes with intermittent support as needed, team taught classes, and self-contained classes. We emphasize a student centered curriculum through the possible continuum of services to meet individual student strengths and needs.

We also offer a learning center to students that need additional support in their classes. Students receive one on one or small group assistance with projects, having test read to them, or remedial assistance on already introduced concepts.
