| WELCOME TO

Welcome to Hollin Meadows Science and Math Focus School. With over 40 years of excellence in education, our priority remains unchanged – ensuring every child receives the best education possible in a respectful, safe, and nurturing learning environment. By combining the right resources with the best instructional strategies and effective management approaches we continue to meet the needs of our students at the highest levels.
Sending a child to school is a big life event and parents have many questions. What type of place is Hollin Meadows? How will my child fit in? Will my child get the best education possible? To answer those questions and many more, I encourage you to talk with parents who send their children to our school. Browse our web site. Schedule an appointment to visit with me or another administrator and see our classrooms in action. As you learn more about our school, I’m confident you will discover and come to understand why we are considered one of the finest schools in Fairfax County.
Once again, thank you for your interest in Hollin Meadows Science and Math Focus School. If I can ever be of assistance, please contact me at 703-718-8300 or jon.gates@fcps.edu.

8:15 a.m. — 12:25 p.m. on Monday
8:15 a.m.—2:55 p.m. Tuesday through Friday
Students may arrive no earlier than 7:50 a.m.
- At 8:00 a.m., students will be directed to their classrooms.
- Students arriving between 8:15 – 8:25 a.m. should report to their classroom where they will be marked tardy by the teacher.
- After 8:25, students should report to the office for a tardy pass.
- After 12:05 pm on Mon. & 2:35 pm Tue. – Fri., parents will not be allowed to sign out their child(ren).
Instead they will need to wait for dismissal. This will cut down on students missing valuable information at the end of the day as well as the confusion caused when escorting students travel to and from the office. In the past, these students have missed their bus and/or assignments as they accompanied a student to be picked up in the office close to dismissal time.
We appreciate your cooperation.
