Inventions and Innovations - Semester
Grade: 7 Elective

Students make projects or models of significant inventions that have advanced society and human potential. After studying these developments in technology, the students explore contemporary and future problems facing themselves, their community, or the world. Students follow formal procedures to create or invent new solutions or innovations that will enhance human potential and result in a desirable impact on society.

Computer Solutions - Semester
Grade: 7 & 8 Elective

Computer Solutions provides students with the skills necessary to use the computer as a problem-solving tool to complete a variety of projects. Students participate in team building activities that include both academic and business competencies. Basic touch keyboarding instruction is provided in the course as well as an introduction to software applications. Students will then use these computer skills to complete cross-curricular activities.

Technological Systems - Semester
Grade: 8 Elective

Technological Systems is designed to be another technology education experience at the middle school level. Students will experience hands-on activities that will help to apply and expand what they have learned in academic subjects and previous technology education courses. They will learn about designing systems, construction models, and how to combine systems to produce more powerful systems. Exploring occupational areas and educational programs for technology-oriented careers is also featured.
