PROJECT WHITEOUT
is a parent-led initiative to support FAIRGRADE at the FCPS School Board meeting on December 4, 2008.  The initiative is to persuade the FCPS School Board to adopt FAIRGRADE's recommendation of a 10-point grading scale with weighting for Honors/AP/IB classes and retro-actively correct all current FCPS student grades to reflect the new grading scale. Parent advocates are requesting parents attend the December 4th School Board meeting, wear white and register to speak at the meeting. Click here to register to speak at the December 4th meeting: http://www.fcps.edu/schlbd/requestspeak.htm

If parents are unable to attend the meeting, your written remarks are welcome.  Submit your email remarks to : SchoolBoardMembers@fcps.edu.  Be sure to include your full name and address in your email.

If you would like more information on FAIRGRADE, or to register to receive email updates, look over the FAIRGRADE website: Click here: Debate Over Fairfax's Grading System.  This is an issue that affects all FCPS students (particularly those currently in middle and elementary school) and a decision is expected to be made by the county after sometime winter break. Now is the time to become involved and have your voice heard on this matter.
