Parents of Current 8th Grade/Rising 9th Grade Students
Please join us at 7:00pm on Monday, February 6th for our Rising 9th Grade Parent Night in the Herndon High School Auditorium. The presentation will cover the 9th grade curriculum, including presentations from teachers, information regarding graduation requirements, course selection, 2012-2013 course registration procedures, and a panel of 9th grade students. Beginning at 6:30pm we will offer an elective and activities fair where students and parents can browse many of the different elective classes and activities offered to 9th grade students. We look forward to seeing you there.

Back To School Forms
In an effort to conserve paper and manpower, Herndon High School will open “virtually” this year.  Please click here to find all the forms that you MUST fill out, sign, and return to school. 

Parking Permits
Any student who wants a parking permit for the 2011 – 2012 school-year must fill out the Parking Permit application.  Students must also provide a copy of their drivers license upon submission of their application. All student debts must be cleared before receiving a parking permit. Please click here for the Parking Permit application. 

Parent View Account
Parents can register for a Parent View account to access homework and classroom assignments, view classroom calendars, update emergency care information and much more.  To create a parent account access: fcps.blackboard.com To complete registration, parents must come to the school and show identification.

Herndon Writing Center
The Herndon Writing Center is where students gather for an experience filled with learning and fun. We are composed of student tutors from both the Advanced Composition Class and the National English Honor Society. Tutoring is available during lunches on red days and after school on Thursdays.  We encourage you to stop by and let us help you become a more accomplished writer.

HHS FREE SAT Prep
Herndon High School is proud to offer ALL students FREE customized SAT prep easily accessible through Blackboard.  The program is available NOW and can be accessible 24-7.  This program is proven to be effective and involves personalized pacing and lessons as well as two full-length practice, timed SAT tests.   SAT scores are very important for college admission.  This is a valuable opportunity for our juniors and seniors to prepare for the SAT test and for our underclassman to prepare for the PSAT.

Herndon High Honor Code
Please take a look at the Herndon High Honor Code of Integrity webpage here.  The page explains what the Code is all about and what defines plagiarism, cheating, etc.  The Honor Code page also outlines the consequences of violating the Code.  All students will be required to sign the Code.
