Parent View - Direct Account with Blackboard/Family Connection
FCPS is pleased to announce electronic parent access to Family Connection, the comprehensive web site that students and their families can use to help make decisions about post-graduation education and career choices.

Family Connection is linked to Counselor's Office, an FCPS service for tracking and analyzing data about college and career plans that provides up-to-date information specific to each school.

Parents may now view their students' information through their FCPS 24-7 Learning Account. If you do not have a Parent View account, you may register by going to http://fcps.blackboard.com. Login using the following information: Username: parentreg, Password: newuser.  More details here.

Senioritis - College applications are in, financial aid forms are done, seventh semester grades have gone to colleges, etc. Spring is here. A little relaxation is a good thing but too much may have surprising consequences. Declining grades or dropping classes can result in colleges rescinding their acceptances. Remember that acceptances are conditional upon your final transcript. Previously, students have received letters from UVA, Va Tech and U of Richmond among others, requiring written explanations upon threat of withdrawing acceptances.

Job Fair - The third annual Job fair will be held in the Spring at the Dulles Expo Center in Chantilly. Many career fields will be represented such as hospitality, childcare, high tech, medical, military, recreation, etc. Area students seeking part-time or summer employment are invited. HHS will be providing a bus.

Junior Athletes - Want to be a college athlete?? - Students interested in playing NCAA sports in college, the end of junior year is the best time to register with the National Collegiate Athletic Association Clearinghouse. Click Here for more info and Here to register. You will also need to get a transcript request from Student Services and process it. You can even register 'just in case'. Handout available in Student Services.
