Reality Hits Herndon Seniors!
In May, 2007, volunteers from the Northwest Federal Credit Union came to HHS to conduct a “reality check” for our Senior Class by running its third annual “Reality Store Financial Workshop” in the Media Center. More than 25 Northwest Federal Credit Union staff members facilitated discussions among small groups of students about managing one's expenses as an adult. Using role play, the exercise helps students realize the importance of budgeting and thrift.
