What is the PTA?
Our PTA is part of the national Parent Teacher Association that strives to enhance children's educational
experiences. Being part of a national organization, we must pay annual dues. To offset these dues and to
continue to provide funds to support our school, we have an annual membership drive. Please enroll or
renew your membership for 2009-10 and together we can make our school the best possible for our
children!

What does the PTA Fund?
The PTA helps fund many programs, activities and equipment for our children, such as:

Who can be a Member and What are the PTA Membership Dues?
Membership in the PTA consists of all the parents and guardians of registered students at Herndon
Elementary School who have paid the family annual membership dues, together with the faculty of the school.
Becoming a member does not mean you automatically sign up to volunteer, it just means you support the PTA
and believe in what we're doing. You will receive a FREE school directory with your membership!

Family Membership (includes both parents) $15.00/year.
Single Membership/Guardian: $10.00/year.

Invest in your Child's Education
Invest in Your Child'is a program for all parents, guardians, and students at Herndon Elementary who want to
provide additional funds to the HES PTA to support our school with enhancing our children's education. Just
make a personal contribution today and 100% goes to Herndon Elementary PTA. Your contribution is tax
deductible. Please consider this an additional way of supporting your child's classroom.
