Hello Class,
I
look forward to teaching all of you in September! My name is Mrs. Shoukat. This is my second
year at Hayfield Secondary, but I have been teaching for many years. I have been teaching Psychology in various
colleges since 1992. I hope to get all
of you as interested in Psychology as I am, so plan on having an enlightening
and enjoyable year!
Your
summer assignment: Read The
Man Who Mistook His Wife for a Hat by Oliver Sachs. There are 24 essays in this book. You are to write a 2 paragraph summary of
each. The topics covered in this book
will be covered in different units throughout the year.
Additional Requirements
1. You cannot use quotes except when you are directly quoting a person’s speech.
In other words, I want you to think what an author is saying and put it in your
own words.
2. The assignment will be due the first day of school and will be graded using the
AP Psychology rubric (please see below).
3 If you have any questions over the summer, please e-mail mary.shoukat@fcps.edu
It may take several days for me to respond, but I will get back to you as
quickly as possible..

may appear
