Technology Goals

As an SBTS, Mrs. Snyder serves as a technology resource for the entire Hayfield Elementary community. Not only does she educate students to help them become globally competent graduates, she prepares our digital learners today for the challenges of the future. Another crucial role that Mrs. Snyder holds is to collaborate with teachers and staff so that technology is seamlessly integrated into daily lessons across the curriculum.

It is the goal of Hayfield Elementary School to use technology as a tool to enhance learning in all areas of the curriculum. The interactive nature of computers promotes many skills needed to prepared students for success in the 21st century.

The use of technology:

  • encourages students to become better communicators.
  • involves students in collaboration and cooperative learning.
  • accentuates many learning styles, especially visual learners.
  • creates enthusiasm and collaborative spirit.
  • allows for access (via Internet) to a wide variety of databases
    related to education.
  • gives students more control over their own learning process.
  • gives a sense of ownership to the user. Students actually create what they learn.
