This week’s Super Sleuth is for everyone. MONDAYIn 1919 I was born in Cairo, Georgia. TUESDAYI served in the United States Army during World War II but became famous for my baseball ability. WEDNESDAYI was named Rookie of the Year in 1947 and the National League’s Most Valuable player in 1949. THURSDAYIn 1947 I became the first African American baseball player on a major league team.
