As a Parent Liaison, I serve as a communication link between home and school. I work in the school to help parents get the information and assistance they need to support their children at home and to ensure their children's academic success. I work with parents to establish and build a successful relationship by connecting with parents with the appropriate people within the school or community who can help them meet their children's need.
Some of the services that I provide are the following:
•Welcome new parents to the school
•Encourage open communication between parents and school personnel
•Arrange meetings between families and school staff member
•Make arrangements to have language interpreters at school meetings
•Organized information night for parents
•Help parents connect with any special services any child may need
•Obtain information for ESOL parents
•Keep updated informational letters in seven foreign languages
•Offer suggestions about how parents can become involved in their children's education and school community
•Provide information about school goals, resources and activities
Please feel free to contact me if you have any questions or concerns.
