Discuss with your student a homework procedure that fits in with your family's schedule. Identify a quiet location with a flat surface and good lighting where your fifth grader can work each night. Ask to see his/her assignment book the first night and check it each night afterwards.

Teachers Agree - Two of the most important things leading to fifth grade success in class and on the SOLs are completion of assignments and knowledge of the third grade multiplication facts.

Prepare for success during the summer! Be ready for both of these!
