Theme: “ I Can Make a Difference By...”
Entries due November 12
Children Expressing themselves through Art!!
Young artists are invited to participate in this year’s reflections program. The program is organized through the national PTA and is designed for children to express themselves through words, pictures, music, photography and visual arts.
Every child at Gunston is eligible and encouraged to submit works of art inspired by the theme,
“ I Can Make a Difference By..” Work will be accepted in the following areas:
- Literature
- Musical Composition
- Photography
- Visual Arts
The Student must submit their, original work. Parental involvement and support are important; however, students must come up with their own ideas, what to create and what to enter. By producing their own work, children not only learn more about the arts; but they also learn about themselves. Entries will be critiqued against others in the same grade throughout Fairfax County and then on to the State Competition.
