Mission and Overview

The Gunston PTA Mission

Promote the welfare of all Gunston students and their families by enhancing the academic and extracurricular experiences of our children through a united and collaborative effort.

Overview

The Gunston PTA works as a coordinated body between parents, teachers, and school administration to ensure ample, wholesome activities for students, parents and the community.  Some of the sponsored activities include:

• Fall After School Program
• Halloween Bingo
• Holiday Gift Shop
• Valentine’s Day Bingo
• International Night
• Science Fair
• Fun Fair
• cultural arts assemblies
• field trips

The PTA also provides enrichment to the school environment through gifts such as a climbing wall for the gym and computer technology for classrooms. Volunteers support learning in numerous ways throughout the school, increasing the amount of time each student can benefit from an adult’s one-to-one guidance.
