The philosophy of this music program is that every student can experience success in the music classroom. Standards and expectations are very high, however differences in ability, skill levels and aptitudes are accommodated.

Our program provides music instruction through the use of the voice, barred and unpitched percussion instruments, movement, improvisation, listening and music reading skills. Students are active participants in this "hands on" approach to music education. They learn music by creating and using it. Members of the Fifth and Sixth Grade Chorus enjoy a variety of performing experiences in the school as well as the community. The music program is a very active part of the school community!
