How has one culture's relationship to the world changed over time?
Things to think about if you select this topic:
- What aspects of the culture influenced other cultures? Think about trade, the exchange of ideas, leadership, transportation, art, literature, religion, and technology (tools/weapons).
- What caused the changes that occurred? Change in leadership, religion, technology, geography.
- What comparisons can you make to your own culture?
Project Suggestions: Choose one of the cultures studied this year. Pick two or three topics to research from the list below and show how they changed over time for that culture.
- Trade
- Exchange of ideas
- Leadership
- Transportation
- Art
- Literature
- Religion
- Technology
Use a variety of sources to research the culture and the topics you selected.
Focus your research for each topic by comparing classical (back in history) to contemporary (today/modern). Develop a chart to collect your data. Compare, contrast, and display information about the two times to show what you learned about how each culture has changed over time.
