Thanksgiving Luncheon - Thursday November 19th
Parents and grandparents are invited to join their child for a special Thanksgiving Luncheon , Thursday November 19th. The lunch schedule for that day has been revised., see attached. Reservations are recommended. It is not too late to reserve your spot. Tickets will be available ihe day of the luncheon. Hope you can join us.
Fall Bookfair
PTA and GBW Library invites you and your children to find a good book or start your holiday shopping Nov. 16 - 20th. Book Fair hours will be 9:30 - 3:30PM Tuesday - Thursday. Jan., 2009 - Governor Timothy M. Kaine announced that Greenbriar West Elementary is one of 162 Virginia public schools who have earned the 2009 Governor’s Award for Educational Excellence. The award is the highest honor under the Virginia Index of Performance (VIP) incentive program created by the Board of Education to advance Governor Kaine’s “competence to excellence” agenda to encourage advanced learning and achievement in the Commonwealth’s public schools.
Greenbriar West Ranks Third in SOL Scores:
The Washington Post recently listed Greenbriar West Third in the metro area when it comes to the number of students who pass the Standards of Learning Tests with advance scores.
