Colvin Run Mill

Colvin Run Mill is an historical Virginia landmark in Great Falls. It was built in the 1800's. Farmers brought their corn and wheat for the miller to grind into flour and cornmeal using water power. It has a wooden water wheel and gristmill that is still used today. It was reconstructed in 1996 and is now operated by the Park Service. You can visit the mill, the miller's house, the blacksmith shop, the post office, and the country store. You can also feed the ducks and have a picnic on the grounds.

Colvin Run Mill is located along Route 7. For an admission fee, you can enjoy some of our history in action by taking a guided tour.
