Special Announcement: Bullying/Harassment Lessons
Fairfax County Public Schools is committed to providing a safe learning environment for all students. While students may experience times of conflict and need to learn how to handle these situations, conflicts that are based on bullying/harassing behavior or on gender differences pose a different problem which can negatively impact students’ learning environment.
In an effort to prevent these behaviors from occurring in schools, counselors will be teaching classroom lessons to students focusing on bullying, and harassing behavior. All students will participate in these lessons, which are a follow-up to the Student Responsibilities and Rights.
We encourage parents to discuss this important issue with your child when he/she has completed the lesson.
