Graham Road Mission

To inspire students to achieve academically, to think critically and creatively, to learn independently and to become ethically responsible within a diverse and dynamic community.

CETA Affiliate School

Graham Road is a partner with the Kennedy Center through the Changing Education through the Arts (CETA) program. We are an affiliate CETA school, which means that our teachers and students have access to Kennedy Center-supported activities. Graham Road is currently hosting a Kennedy Center course called Tableau I, which is sponsored by the Kennedy Center. More than 15 Graham Road teachers, as well as teachers throughout the area, are studying how to use tableau to teach across the content areas. Additionally, 12 more teachers are taking other CETA classes at different locations. Teachers attend courses and meet in study groups in order to plan and reflect on their learning and brainstorm how to implement their course learning in the classroom. Grades K- 6 are also partnered with an arts specialist from Graham Road who works collaboratively with teams to develop teaching strategies and ideas for using the arts to teach the non-arts and to support students in developing expertise in both content areas. Students' arts integration work will be featured at a quarterly family social as well as at our annual arts festival, which will be in the spring.
