Ms. Nissley has been teaching since 1986. She began her teaching career in Loudoun County where she taught seventh grade social studies. She then joined Fairfax County Public Schools and has been teaching at Glasgow since 1991. She has been involved with the Mentor program, talent show, fashion show, Center For Applied Linguistics, yearbook advisor for eight years, lead science teacher, peer mediation program, summer school(early start program), and team leader. Currently, Ms. Nissley is working on her Masters Degree in Education.

Ms. Nissley's daughter, Kristin is a Junior at West Springfield H.S. She is an accomplished equestrian and stays busy preparing for upcoming horse shows. Ms. Nissley and her daughter spend all of their spare time horseback riding. Ms. Nissley enjoys reading, crafts, making jewelery, and of course spending time with her daughter.
