Groundbreaking Ceremony

Thanks to the history-making rainfall of June, the groundbreaking ceremony for which the Glasgow community has waited over a decade became an indoor event. Neighbors, teachers, students, parents, and dignitaries gathered to move golden shovels full of ceremonial sand to mark the beginning of a construction period anticipated to last about 2 years. Plans call for students and teachers to begin the 2008-09 school year in the new building.
