| Assessment at Glasgow
Since 2006, Glasgow's professional learning community has been exploring best practices in assessment. This year, we are making important changes to bring our principles in line with FCPS policies and and the principles of the IB Middle Years Program. Because this system for marking student work and determining quarterly grade departs from the familar accumulation of points or averaging of percentages, we all have much to learn. But we are convinced it's worth the effort. Our goal is to do what's best for kids, and in the long term we believe all of us will be served by a more consistent and transparent approach to assessment.
