Literary Arts: Journalism
Grade 8 - Semester Course
Prerequisite: Successful completion of the
selection procedures including application, recommendations, and writing
sample. Approval by the class instructor.
Students learn basic publication and journalism skills focusing on writing articles and designing layouts for our yearbook.
Literary Arts: Creative Writing
Grade 8 - Full Year
Prerequisite: Successful completion of the selection
procedures including application, recommendations, and writing sample.
Approval by the class instructor.
Students will practice basic writing
techniques and will have several opportunities to publish their writings for
contests, the school newspaper, and the Franklin Literary Arts Magazine,
Pearls and Diamonds.
