Introductory Art 
Grade 7 - Semester
Course $15 Fee Required

Art in seventh grade explores and develops basic concepts introduced in K-6 programs.  by building upon the sixth grade program, students will be instructed in the following:  to create art, to look at art historically, and to live with art in the world around them.  Art from may cultures will be emphasized.  students will use tools and materials to understand the creative process of art.


Intermediate Art
Grade 8 - Semester Course $15 Fee Required

Students will expand on the content and skills introduced in Art 7. They will refine their ability to communicate visually, manage a wide range of materials, and achieve quality, style, and craftsmanship in drawing, painting, printmaking, sculpture, and crafts. Students will have opportunities for evaluating and critiquing their own and other students' artwork as well as studying artists and analyzing their work.  The aesthetics of art becomes more evident as the eighth grade students study the works of the great masters as well as modern artists of the twentieth century.
