MIX thoroughly... 1/4 cup margarine 1/4 cup shortening 3/4 cup sugar 1 egg Sift together and stir in with a wooden spoon. 1 1/4 cups plus 2 tablespoons flour 1 teaspoon Cream of Tartar 1/2 teaspoon baking soda 1/8 teaspoon salt Shape the dough into 1 inch balls Roll in a mixture of 3 tablespoons sugar and 1 teaspoon cinnamon place balls 2 inches apart on an ungreased cookie sheet Bake 8-10 minutes until lightly brown... but still soft. These cookies puff up at first, then flatten out Baking Temp- 400 time 8-10 minutes yield: about 2 1/2 dozen cookies |
