Fox Mill Elementary School is a Fairfax County Public School located approximately 22 miles west of Washington, D.C. and five miles east of Dulles Airport. Since its opening in 1979, Fox Mill has maintained a reputation of fostering high academic achievement in a nurturing environment with strong community involvement. Our staff works collaboratively and is committed to providing opportunities designed to meet individual student needs. Our goal is to ensure that every child experiences academic, emotional and social success.

Fox Mill Elementary provides a well-balanced program that encourages all students to strive for excellence and to become life-long learners and contributing citizens. This is achieved by establishing high expectations and by developing and implementing innovative programs. Our active PTA enhances instruction by offering in-school cultural experiences as well as a varied array of after-school activities. Both staff and parents encourage our students to participate in service-learning experiences.

Fox Mill is one of thirteen foreign language partial-immersion elementary schools in Fairfax County. Approximately thirty percent of our students participate in this program. Our Japanese language partial-immersion program serves grades one through six and draws students from within as well as from outside our school boundaries. In this program students are taught their mathematics, science and health curriculums in Japanese. Language arts and social studies are taught in English.
